HEC Paris history: The "majestic and grandiose" buildings on the new HEC campus

“As you can see, HEC’s new buildings display very modern architecture.  A great deal of concrete, steel and glass was used. HEC’s other achievements are a reflection of this rational design. Indeed, it is one of the best-designed ‘Grande Ecoles’ in Europe.” It was with these words that a journalist from “Toutes nouvelles de Versailles” described the new HEC campus, the day after it was inaugurated by General de Gaulle. “An inauguration ceremony which was just as majestic and grandiose as the buildings it revealed, constructed on 110 acres of land in the old ‘Château Mallet’ Park.”
