Topic & Speakers Details

In most cases, do strategies fail because they are not implemented effectively?

Strategic failures are often the result of poor strategy implementation and poor change management. It is therefore vital for managers to carefully assess the structure, skills, and processes of their companies in order to determine if a particular strategy can be successfully implemented. They also need to be able to identify opportunities for competitive advantage and to develop an appropriate strategy to take advantage of these opportunities. The most brilliantly designed strategy will not lead to success if its execution is weak. To ensure success, a firm’s information and control systems, structure and the skills at its disposal (including change management skills) need to be fully aligned with the strategy.
