The event was organized by Business France in Wuhan. It was attended by 55 senior managers and executives from more than 30 local and international companies such as Dong Feng Peugeot Citroen, Société Générale, Decathlon, Alstom, China Unicom, Wuhan Iron and Steel, Hubei Federation of Industry and Commerce, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Wuhan, Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, etc.
HEC Paris Professor Gérard de Maupeou delivered the seminar, during which he discussed the challenges facing managers in the modern world of business. In order to overcome these challenges, he addressed the increasing importance for companies to develop a strategy for innovation and to identify Greenfield areas that can both maximize development and secure sustainable and socially responsible growth. Professor de Maupeou concluded his seminar with a presentation of 7 innovative approaches for value proposition and value architecture, by reinventing the company business model. “Tomorrow’s innovative and sustainable 4.0 enterprises shall be open, engaging, responsible and innovative,” he said.
This is the first event held by HEC Paris Executive Education in Wuhan. The city is widely recognized as the heart of political, economic, financial, cultural, and educational activity in central China. Wuhan has the highest level of French investment in China - over 100 French companies have set up their business in the city. Consequently, there is a significant French presence in Wuhan, which is home to around 2000 French expatriates. Participants who attended the event expressed their excitement about HEC Paris in Wuhan and looked forward to engaging in the various executive education programs in the future.
