HEC Paris News: Executives and managers of Toyota Tsusho Corporation gather for the 2015 Global Advanced Leadership program

The 2015 GLOBAL ADVANCED LEADERSHIP module, specifically designed by HEC Paris for Toyota Tsusho Corporation, was held on the HEC Paris campus from August 31 to September 4. The aim was to contribute to the development of the next generation of global leaders.

Challenges faced by Global Leaders

This module was run in partnership between HEC Paris and the University of Waseda, based in Tokyo and is part of a larger program held in Japan and Singapore as well.

In Paris, the focus was on geopolitical perspectives, the specificities of doing business in Africa and the global leadership challenges executives and managers meet in international post-merger integration. Learning and experience was enhanced by taking leadership issues into another space and dimension through several liberal art sessions.

An Insightful and Rewarding Intercultural Exchange

Among those who were actively involved in designing this module were Dr. Matt Mulford and Dr. Ikegami, Academic Director.  The latter underlined:

"I found great marriage here at HEC Paris: marriage between insightful contents and excellent operation."

Matt Mulford, Academic Director, added: “We were delighted to welcome TTC to the HEC campus. This type of executive, international training creates the opportunity to exchange information in an intercultural environment which is particularly rich and rewarding for both parties."
